Homeschooling

We figured if the kids worked a bit for a call center it would help to cover our travel costs.

They're actually working on their Hindi lessons with Rosetta Stone.  We also go to a tutor once a week... she's pretty tough and we're nervous each time we go.

Our IDEO approach to learning a language; post its on the dining room wall.  We'll tell you in a month or so if it's working.

Our first Malaysian cooking class taught in Ruqxanna's back garden kitchen. We made beef Rendang and Sayur Lodeh... never cooked with so many chili peppers in my life!

Now that half of our taste buds have been burned off we seem to be able to eat spicier foods

The kids are cooking one meal a week.  Kida chose pizza from scratch...it was pretty impressive.
Jex saw bundles of air plants at the wet market and was inspired to create this sculpture.

Our first foray into local history.  The two views are of the same building from opposite sides.  The colonial side of the museum is attached to the hillside at the back of the building with a glass atrium that includes a circular tower leading into an extensive underground gallery.

Good things come to those who 'school' hard!
